In Honor of Yom HaShoah – Holocaust Remembrance Day, April 21, 2020
VTHM invites Vermont students to honor an individual or group they may know or have encountered in their community, by sharing a story of modern day “rescue” comparing these challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic to those during the Holocaust. This may be a doctor, house of worship, nurse, grocery clerk, soldier, organization, shopper, postman, neighbor, friend, parent, delivery person – or any others. Ordinary people CAN DO extraordinary things. This is the only way people survived during the Holocaust, and the way people will survive this current crisis.
Additional information and guidelines can be found at the Vermont Holocaust Memorial website Educational Resources contest page.
Submission deadline: EXTENDED UNTIL - Tuesday, November 10, 2020 (Anniversary of Kristallnacht - The Night of Broken Glass.)
